Note from Dr. Anderson This past Friday, Mrs. Bulk and I had an opportunity to meet with the students during our town hall meetings. At the meeting, we covered a lot of BMS related topics. In particular, during the meeting we stressed the importance for each student to identify one adult in school that they would consider as their Trusted Adult. We asked the students that if they see a peer who is not safe, supported, or cared for to let their Trusted Adult in school know, and if they are feeling unsafe, not supported, or cared for to also let their Trusted Adult know. Every adult at BMS is ready and willing to be a Trusted Adult. They know the importance of making time, listening empathetically, giving sound advice, and informing administration if a student is in danger. Please ask your child who his/her Trusted Adult is and encourage him/her to speak to them if there is something on their mind. Lastly, we informed the students that their number one advocate and Trusted Adult is always their parents and they are always encouraged to let their parents know as well. BMS Spotlight on Learning This week we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on our 7th grade math PLC. Ms. Abbruzzi, Mr. Aubin, and Mrs. Orrall met in CPT the other day and revised their assessment reflection form. In addition to keeping the areas of improvement section, the team included a component that focuses on student success. This added emphasis is in line with our school’s focus on Grit and Growth Mindset. Well done team! BMS News you can Use BMS Building Update: The new building construction is well underway. To help with communication, each week I have been releasing the BMS Building Project Blog.
